Cumin is the dried, white fruit of a small slender annual herb. It is greyish brown in colour.

Uses

Cumin seeds have an aromatic and bitter taste.

It is used as a condiment, is an ingredient in curry powders, and is used in seasonings for breads, cakes and cheese.

Cumin may lower blood sugar, reduce seizures, strengthen bones, and treat eye disorders.
