Cassia auriculata / Avaram / “Tanners cassia”

Avaram (Cassia auriculata) is a common tree in Asia, which has been widely used in Indian traditional medicine.

The dried flowers and flower buds are used as a substitute for tea in case of diabetes patients.

It is also used for the treatment of fever, urinary tract disorders, rheumatism, conjunctivitis, ulcers and liver disease.
